Baeza is a city in Andalusia in southern Spain. The city is located on a cliff in the Loma de Baeza Mountains between the rivers Gudalquivir and Guadalimar. The landscape around Baeza is dominated by olive trees. Baeza is declared a place of historic and artistic importance and is well known for its best-preserved examples of Renaissance architecture.
In the heart of Baeza is the Plaza del Ppulo. The buildings around the square include two floors supported by an open colonnade. In the middle of the square is the Fuente de los Leones, a fountain with four lions, probably transferred from the Iberian-Roman city Cstulo.
